Lois Reese

Recognized by the Virginia Symphony as one of Hampton Road's top 30 Music Educators in 2015, Lois has a vast musical background.  She has been a church music director for over

29 years; leading singers, ringers, and world drummers of all ages.  While living in West Point, NY she had an active private music studio, became an opera singer, and began teaching at a parochial school.  When moving to Virginia 15 years ago, she focused on classroom teaching which lead her to become certified as a MusikGarten teacher and achieved Level 3 certification in World Music Drumming.  After 20 years in the classroom, she decided to open her own music school.  She has been a presenter for VA Wesleyan Summer Church Music Conference, Massanetta Springs Worship and Music Conference,  and Handbell Musicians of America on the national and regional levels. She is also an accredited instructor for the Handbell Musicians of America, has sung for Virginia Opera, played in and directed the Virginia Handbell Consort, and sung with the Virginia Symphony Chorus. Most recently she has added certification from Village Music Circles as a drum circle facilitator. When not teaching music she is  a  certified water fitness instructor with the National Water Fitness Association.
