These items can become a distraction. It is best to leave them at home or in the car. If they are coming to Drumming Up the Fun directly from Hilton Elementary, they may sit in the lobby area of the educational wing of HPC to eat their snack.

Personal drums are welcome. We do look for certain tonal qualities with each of our ensembles and we'll want to make sure that yours fits into the best category.

Dress is casual. All classes involve a certain amount of movement, so keep that in mind. When attending a drumming workshop you should wear something in which you are comfortable sitting behind a drum.

Absolutely! Any new skill requires repetition. Much of what we do as musicians is muscle memory. Therefore, the more times you do it, the easier it is for your muscles to remember. It doesn't require long sessions, but can be broken up into several short sessions throughout the day.
